Setting up a D-Link wireless access point can be challenging. Here are the steps to follow and set up your D-link wireless access point using the Dlink local wizard.
1. Launch the Dlink local wizard, once you are have logged in successfully. Keep click on next till you are expected to enter the details of your Access point.
2. You’ll be prompted to type the SSID of the access point. The SSID will be visible to all, and they can be connected to your network. It is recommended to set a unique SSID
3. Below that there will be a field to chose a channel, if you do not select any, it will be to channel six by default. However, if you face network issues, you can switch to others. Click on next.
4. Now comes to secure your network. Go for either WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK. Then set a strong password and conform to it type the same in the next field. Click on Next.
5. You are now almost done and so ‘Setup completed’ would be displayed on the wizard. Click on the restart to save all your settings.
6. Ongoing back, you should see a DHCP button. Click on it to disable it and then click on the apply button.
Now you have successfully configured your access point.
